Blog 2

One day I asked myself what's the reason why Slim wanted to know why a guy like me is traveling together with George. Crooks told Slim that I was hanging out in the barn petting the puppies too much, though I wasn't, I just love petting small and soft animals. I came inside the house and a little while after I saw Carlson entered the house and starts cleaning his gun. Then Mr. Curley comes in looking for Mrs. Curley. George and I went to the new ranch, we went into the bunkhouse where we will meet the old guy named Candy. Old Candy is missing a hand, has bristly white whiskers and has an ancient dog that stinks. Curley comes in and immediately sizes up with me and George as potential people that he could beat up. Curley's wife enters the bunkhouse, claiming to be looking for Curley. I can't take my eyes off of Curley's wife, and she doesn't make it easy to put my eyes anywhere else. Then George lectures me of staying away from Mrs. Curley, and at the end of the day I don't like the ranch, it's not a good place to be in.

Blog 1 (Lennie)

  • Lennie is a physically strong man who travels with George, due to his mental disabilities.
  • Lennie's love for petting soft things such as small animals lead him to danger.
  • He is blindly devoted to George and thier vission of the farm and possesses incredible physical strength.
  • Due to his mental disabilities, he is totally defenseless against Curly and Curly's wife.
  • Despite Lennies disabilities, his enthusiasm for the farm managed him to prove George, Candy and Crooks that such a paradise is possible.
  • Above all Lennie is an innocent guy who seemed to ensure his inevitable destruction.
